In practice: checklist
- Draw a boundary line around each production process in your installation.
- Primary: include anode consumption, fuels, flue gas treatment, PFCs; exclude anode baking and alumina.
- Recyclers: include de-coating, de-oiling, residue burning and slag treatment.
- Forming: exclude cutting, welding, finishing; include annealing and surface treatment.
- Get data for outsourced steps inside the boundary.
- Record whether each batch of unwrought aluminium is primary or secondary.
