9.How numbers are written in EU documents

EU documents use a comma as the decimal separator and a space for thousands: 0,890 is 0.890 and 15 000 is fifteen thousand. This course uses the same format in quotes and tables.

WATCH OUT 1,555 in an EU document means 1.555, not one thousand five hundred and fifty-five. Check this when copying EU tables into spreadsheets.
