4.Site visits

  • First year: a physical visit is always required.
  • Virtual visit: possible only after a physical visit the year before, low risk and no significant changes.
  • Waiver: needs physical visits in the two previous years plus the same conditions.
  • In practice: physical, then virtual every second year, or a waiver every third year.
  • Significant changes (new route, new energy supply or precursors, new method) block both options.
  • Force majeure also allows a virtual visit.
