In practice: checklist
- Shortlist accredited, registered verifiers covering your goods who did not write your monitoring plan.
- Register in the CBAM registry and send your verifier a collaboration request.
- Plan a physical site visit and deliver verified data before mid-August 2027.
- Request precursor verification reports early; set a cut-off for switching to defaults.
- Add routes, benchmarks and precursor masses to your monitoring plan.
- Calculate SEFA per CN code.
- Gather net carbon price evidence and arrange certification.
