1.The building blocks

  • Attributed emissions (AttrEm): the direct emissions of the production process for the year, in t CO2e. For aluminium, direct only.
  • Activity level (AL): tonnes of goods made in that process in the year.
  • Precursor mass (Mi) and precursor SEE (SEEi): for complex goods, how much precursor went in and its own emissions per tonne.

Results are in t CO2e per tonne, with at most 5 decimals; yearly totals are rounded to whole tonnes.
