Module 6 of 9 · S2 · Default values vs actual values

7.Knock-on effects: free allocation and carbon price paid

  • Free allocation adjustment. With defaults, the adjustment also uses default benchmarks and the route letter from Annex I.
  • Carbon price paid. The price you actually paid can only be deducted with actual values. With defaults, only a yearly default carbon price (if the Commission publishes one for your country) can be used.

WATCH OUT If you pay a domestic carbon price and your buyer uses defaults, what you actually paid cannot be claimed.
