Module 9 of 9 · A6 · Worked example and the communication template
5.Step 4: what your buyer receives
The template's summary sheets hold everything the declarant needs:
| Process | Good | CN | SEE direct | t scrap/t | % pre-consumer | % non-Al elements |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Primary smelting | Slabs | 7601 10 10 | 1,555 | 0 | 0 | 0,00153 |
| Forming steps | Wire | 7605 19 00 | 1,698 | 0 | 0 | 0,00175 |
It also shows the share based on default values (0 here) and any carbon price due.
WATCH OUT The example file (v2.1, June 2024) was built for the transitional period. It also shows indirect emissions, giving a "total" SEE of 7,705 for slabs. Today only the direct SEE (1,555 and 1,698) counts for aluminium. Give your buyer the direct figure, clearly labelled.
KEY Today the data reaches the importer through verification: your report goes to an accredited verifier, and a registered operator shares the verified data through the CBAM Registry. See S1 and S3.
